The European Travel Information Authorisation System will be introduced in 2026 . Honduran citizens will be required to apply for an ETIAS travel authorisation before visiting countries in the Schengen Area.
DO HONDURANS NEED A VISA FOR EUROPE?
Hondurans do not need a visa to travel to Europe short-term. Honduran nationals can go to countries in the Schengen Area for up to 90 days per 180-day free without a visa. Visa-free trips from Honduras to Europe are permitted for tourism, business, short-term studying, or transit.
With the implementation of the ETIAS visa waiver, Hondurans will need to take an extra step before heading to Europe. ETIAS is not a visa but will be a mandatory entry document for Hondurans visiting European destinations from 2026 .

THE ETIAS APPLICATION FOR CITIZENS OF HONDURAS
During the ETIAS application process, Hondurans need to provide both personal and safety-related information. Citizens of Honduras will also be expected to add information about their travel plans. All questions must be answered honestly and acurately.

The passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the intended date of departure from the Schengen Area
